I learned how to find cool FREE music to add to video and audacity projects.

I remembered how useful Audacity could be. I remembered what fun Karen Seddon is.

I learned to create a Voki. I plan on using the one I created to add audio directions for bell work, to get students attention, etc. and have on the screen when the students come in.

It has been a great experience to be exposed to Digital Audio.

I think that I need more practice.

I learned today that an iPod can record. I never realized that before. I was also reminded about the resources that could be found on POBOX Wiki.

I am so excited to take Movie Maker back to my classroom. I can see my reading students using Movie Maker to retell a story practicing several skills including sequence, main idea, cause/effect...

Today's session was full of lots of resources. As I revisit many of the tools I use regularly, I always like to find a new use for it. Since I have been using mp3 players for several years, I was happy to find out how easily they can now be used to record files and then import them into Audacity and Movie Maker. Thanks also for the file conversion tools.

I learned how to record on my new creative zen and add it in to Audacity. I have really enjoyed the presentation today! Thanks for making it so interactive.

I have never used Audacity before so this has all been new to me. I really enjoyed have it presented in the "I do" / "We do" format. Being able to play with it on my own has been a vauable learning tool for me. I still have a long way to go, but I am looking forward to experimenting it with it this summer.

I learned how to add multiple audio files to an audacity project so that I could imbed them in Movie Maker. I've been using Movie Maker with my students. Now I can show them how to add additional sound effects, narration, and music. I will try to upload an audio file to teachers in the trenches of how technology impacts my teaching.

I learned today how to use Audacity so that it works. I had given up on using it. I just imported audio directly using the microphone.Karen's step by step directions did the trick. I like the editing features that allow you to talk in between the music pieces.I am excited to be learning so much.

Hi Karen! I was never sure how I could incorporate audio/video in a math classroom. But I'm ready now!! Since I have a Smart Board, I can have video bell work for the students, which will keep them more focused. Using the Flip video camera was a whole new experience for me! Someday, I hope to get a Creative Zen for me, and maybe, through DonorsChoose, get some for my classes. I definitely intend to do more project-based, technology-based learning this coming year!!

Using the new flip cameras and having new tools were fantastic. I am excited to put these to use in the classroom. They offer many opportunities.

ALthough I had learned things about Audacity during the FDE training last summer, it was great to spend more time with it today. I found it so easy to add the recordings and audio files and work with them easily. I had never used the Zen MP3 to record so that was a first. I also saw new possibilities for the use of Audacity. At the begining of the school year, most of my first graders can't read so I can use written instructions and have to reapeat instructions over and over. Now I plan to use Audacity to put up the prompt for my morning message so students can be more independent.

Today, I recieved a refresher of Audacity. I have really enjoyed learning how to import video's into Movie Maker. Using the Flip Video camera was a new and wonderful experience. I had lots of fun learning to use this new tool. I especially enjoyed Garage Band. I like the fact that students can create their own music to add behind a presentation.

How to manipulate mp3 files from various sources. I would like to use audio vocabulary definitions and sentences in the classroom.
